I started my Thai holiday with a few days of shopping and temple hopping in Bangkok. I loved the vibe, I remember waking up one night at 1am not able to sleep and then I decided to go out. The city was pulsating with night life, I walked around, gawking with the soundtrack of ‘One Night in Bangkok’ replaying in my head.
I flew to Phuket and stayed in a four star hotel for dirt cheap. I lay by the pool, went for massages, read and hired a scooter on which I explored the island. I sailed to Phi Phi and spent the day snorkelling – my most favourite thing to do – after eating. Thai cuisine has always been a favourite of mine and I went to enrol at a cooking school. It’s been a few years now since my cooking classes and I still get rave reviews for my Thai cooking. The mixture of spices, fresh ingredients and different textures is what I enjoy about the food.
Great food, good value, friendly people, massages, beautiful beaches, snorkelling, shopping – Thailand is a beautiful country with a lot to offer.
